Holly L. Schamber, DDS
Dr. Holly L. Schamber and her husband, Tony, are native Wyomingites. After being away for several years attending school they wanted to return to Wyoming and its unique way of life the state offers. Dr. Schamber loves the state, the people and all Wyoming has to offer.
Dr. Schamber was drawn to the dental profession as a teen. Her hometown dentist and his staff inspired Dr. Schamber to pursue a dental career. She was impressed by their caring manner and the goal of helping people to feel good about their smiles. Dr. Schamber attended the University of Wyoming, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 2005 and a Master of Science Degree in Health in 2008. She earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduation, Dr. Schamber joined the professional team at Powder River Dental Associates.
Dr. Schamber and her husband Tony are parents to their son, Jaxson. The couple enjoys family outdoor activities, especially snowmobiling and all types of fitness training. Spending time with friends and family are high on the list of priorities.
Chad C. Schell, DDS
Dr. Chad C. Schell was raised in Wyoming and knew he wanted to return to Wyoming after earning his education.
Dr. Schell earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in health sciences from the University of Wyoming in 2006. He then graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 2010 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, Dr. Schell was invited to join the team at Powder River Dental.
Dr. Schell and his wife Lindsey grew up on the west side of the Big Horn Mountains in Basin. They moved their family to Gillette in June of 2010 to join Powder River Dental Associates. Dr. Schell and Lindsey have two daughters, Morgan and Malin.
In his spare time Dr. Schell enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.
Robert W. Barelman, DDS
Dr. Robert W. Barelman was born in Nebraska and raised in Montana. His inspiration to become a dentist came in the form of a “skiing buddy” who just happened to be a dentist. After many conversations on the slopes, Dr. Barelman made the decision to enter dental school.
Dr. Barelman earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology and chemistry from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1973. He went on to earn a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Creighton School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska in 1978. Upon graduation, Dr. Barelman signed on with the Institute for Latin American Concern, providing dentistry for the poverty stricken people of the Dominican Republic. After returning to the United States, Dr. Barelman practiced with the U.S. Public Health Service in Texas before going into private practice in 1983.
Dr. Barelman has trained with cutting edge doctors in the field of dentistry, including Gordon Christianson, DDS; Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education (F.A.C.E.); Michael Schuster, DDS and the Center for Professional Development; Rapport Leadership International; Align Technology for Invisalign Orthodontics and Mercer Transitions Group.
Since joining Powder River Dental Associates, Dr. Barelman has provided patients with outstanding dental care, and become an active member of the community. He served three years on the United Way Board, is the past president of the Gillette Rotary and currently serves on the Campbell County Board of Health.
Dr. Barelman and his wife, Peggy, have six children between them and eight beautiful grandchildren. In his time off, the couple enjoys scuba diving, motorcycles and spending time in the Black Hills.
Patrick J. Love, DDS
Dr. Patrick J. Love was born in Colorado and raised in Colorado and Montana. The child of educators, Dr. Love has a high regard for education and has made a personal commitment to continuing education in the field of dentistry. In his pursuit of personal and professional excellence, Dr. Love has completed courses presented by dental leaders, including Gordon Christianson, DDS; The Panke Institute; Dr. Michael Schuster and the Center for Professional Development; Pride Institute; Rapport Leadership International and Mercer Transitions Group.
Dr. Love earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in pre-medicine from Montana State University in 1970. He then earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1974 from the University of Nebraska Dental School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Love, served four years in the United States Navy. After leaving the Navy, Dr. Love established his practice in Gillette, Wyoming, where he and his wife, Sandi, raised their three children.
Throughout his career, Dr. Love has been committed to providing quality dental care to his patients, as well as giving back to the community of Gillette, Wyoming. Dr. Love is the past president of the Campbell County Board of Health. He also served as the lieutenant governor and president of Gillette Kiwanis Club, of which he has been a member for more than 27 years. Currently, Dr. Love is the president of the Mayors Art Council in Gillette.
Dr. Love enjoys hunting, fishing, running and spending time with his four wonderful grandchildren. He is also an accomplished sculptor and painter.
Nitan A. Bahnson, DDS
Dr. Nitan A. Bahnson was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming. He and his wife Aubrey are excited to be back with their families as they start their own. They are looking forward to the many opportunities Gillette and Wyoming have to offer.
Dr. Bahnson attended the University of Wyoming where he completed minors in Chemistry and Finance enroute to earning his Structural Engineering degree. After completing an internship with Peter Kiewit Building Group, Dr. Bahnson chose to pursue a career in dentistry in order to continue working with his hands, while helping people more directly. Dr. Bahnson attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He went on to pursue additional training through a one year General Practice Residency (GPR). Dr. Bahnson was selected as one of eight residents for the University of Colorado GPR program where he received additional training in Sedation, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics and Implants. After a successful first year Dr. Bahnson was asked to serve as the Chief Resident the following year while he continued with his training. Dr. Bahnson is thankful to have found an opportunity to join such a caring team that strives to provide the highest quality of dental care.
