Meet Our Team
Doctors
Holly L. Schamber, DDS
Dr. Holly Schamber and her husband, Tony, are native Wyomingites. After graduating dental school in 2012, they moved to Gillette to make it their forever home. Dr. Schamber attended the University of Wyoming, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health in 2005, and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health in 2008. She further went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2012. After graduation, Dr Schamber joined the professional team at Powder River Dental Associates.
Dr Schamber is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wyoming Dental Association – where she currently serves as the Vice President. She is the President of the Northeast District for the Wyoming Dental Association and serves as the dentist on the Children’s Developmental Services of Campbell County Health Services Advisory Committee. She is a graduate of Gillette Area Leadership Institute (GALI). Dr. Schamber has a passion for dentistry and helping improve the health and smiles of her patients.
Dr. Schamber and her husband, Tony, have 3 children, Jaxson, Kru & Jaycee, that keep them busy and always traveling somewhere for their kids’ athletics. The Schamber family enjoys camping, hiking, boating…really anything outdoors. They enjoy traveling around to watch their kids play on traveling basketball and baseball teams. Dr Schamber and her husband enjoy training and running half marathons together. Enjoy might be a strong word, but they enjoy the challenge and reward of running.
Nitan A. Bahnson, DDS
Dr. Bahnson attended the University of Wyoming where he completed his Structural Engineering degree with minors in Chemistry and Finance. After completing an internship with Peter Kiewit Building Group, Dr. Bahnson chose to pursue a career in dentistry in order to continue working with his hands, while helping people more directly.
Dr. Bahnson attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He went on to pursue advanced training through a General Practice Residency (GPR). Dr. Bahnson was one of eight residents selected for the 2015-2016 general practice residency at the University of Colorado, where he received advanced training in Oral Surgery, Implants, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Sedation. After a successful first year Dr. Bahnson was asked to serve as the Chief Resident the following year while he continued training. Dr. Bahnson is a member of the Wyoming and American Dental Associations.
Dr. Bahnson enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, skiing, and working on a multitude of DIY projects.
Chad C. Schell, DDS
Dr. Schell earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in health sciences from the University of Wyoming in 2006. He then graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 2010 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, Dr. Schell was invited to join the team at Powder River Dental.
Dr. Schell and his wife Lindsey grew up on the west side of the Big Horn Mountains in Basin. They moved their family to Gillette in June of 2010 to join Powder River Dental. Dr. Schell and Lindsey have two daughters, Morgan and Malin. In his spare time Dr. Schell enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.

Krista Heiken, RDH
Krista has served as the Montana Dental Hygienist Association President year 1999-2000 and several other Board positions at the state level. She also has served on the American Dental Hygiene Association as a delegate for the state of Montana. She and her husband have two children.
Christina Scherry, RDH
Christina’s passion and main interests related to dental hygiene are the impact of oral health on systemic health (and vice versa), sleep apnea, and the effect of Orofacial dysfunction on airway and dentition. Getting patients excited about and engaged in their oral health is her main goal.
Christina and her husband, Nick, have been married for 11 years, and have two young children. They enjoy camping with their dogs in the summer.
Rachel Thompson, RDH
Brekyn McCart, RDH
Brekyn grew up in the small town of Kaycee and graduated from Kaycee High School. She pursued her passion for dental care at Sheridan College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2019. Shortly after she moved to Gillette, where she began her career in pediatric dentistry before transitioning to general dentistry.
Now, Brekyn is proud to serve patients of all ages, helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles. Outside of work, she spends her time with her growing family, including their two wonderful children—a daughter and a son.
